The Enugu State Police Command has ordered an investigation into an alleged shooting in front of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) secretariat in Enugu, which reportedly left a man injured and damaged five parked vehicles. The incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, when unidentified armed hoodlums allegedly opened fire. The victim, a man repairing a vehicle parked along the road, sustained a suspected gunshot injury and was rushed to a hospital by police operatives, and is reportedly in stable condition. The Commissioner of Police, Mamman Bitrus Giwa, has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
