A South Sudanese soldier has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for killing a United Nations worker. According to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), the victim, a national staff member, was abducted and killed while performing official duties on December 15, 2025. The soldier was jailed for the crime.
