The Federal Government is working with the National Assembly to harmonise the laws establishing regional development commissions. Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Ahmadu, said the move aims to reduce friction, improve collaboration, and enhance the commissions' effectiveness. He noted that while the commissions share development goals, their laws differ due to regional peculiarities. The ministry is pursuing amendments that will align the laws while preserving provisions for distinct regional challenges.
