Kenyan presidential candidate Patrick Osoi has advised Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote not to proceed with a proposed refinery project in Kenya. Speaking at a Lions Movement event, Osoi said that if elected president next year, he would ensure local investors undertake the project instead. He argued that Kenya has business people capable of establishing a refinery without foreign dependence. Osoi's comments come amid plans by Dangote to invest $16 billion in an oil refinery in Kenya.
