Police in Kano barricaded the venue of a meeting organized by the 'Tinubu Must Go' movement, prompting protests from its members. Abba Hikima, a lawyer and convener, alleged that about 10 mobile police vehicles were stationed at the venue to prevent access. The movement describes itself as a non-partisan platform aimed at mobilizing Nigerians to vote out President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, citing economic policies that it says have caused hardship.
