The African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Plateau State Government are in disagreement over a N69.5 million fine imposed for alleged violations of Executive Order 003, which regulates the display of political posters. The ADC accused the government and the Jos Metropolitan Development Board of selective enforcement, claiming that while its campaign posters were sanctioned, posters featuring Governor Caleb Mutfwang and President Bola Tinubu remained on public infrastructure. The party's state Publicity Secretary, Silas Audu Wettok, addressed journalists in Jos and demanded that the fine be withdrawn or suspended pending a transparent review. He said the party's objection was not to legitimate regulation but to the apparent selective enforcement of the order, and the ADC also urged the government to focus more on tackling insecurity.
