The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has called on senior judicial officers to mentor their junior colleagues to ensure seamless transfer of knowledge. She made the call at the Commonwealth Magistrates and Judges Association's Annual Conference in Kingston, Jamaica, during a panel session on "Judicial Bullying and Harassment." According to a statement by her spokesman, Mr. Tobi Soniyi, the CJN said senior judges possess institutional knowledge that cannot be acquired from books and have a responsibility to guide younger colleagues. She added that mentorship would help junior judges gain greater confidence.
