The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the final list of governorship and deputy-governorship candidates for the 2027 election in Taraba State, featuring contenders from 19 political parties. Among those listed is incumbent governor Agbu Kefas, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with Ibrahim Zainab Abubakar as his running mate. Former senator Emmanuel Bwacha is listed as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while former federal lawmaker Danjuma Usman Shiddi will contest on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Other candidates include Prof. Jerome Nyameh of Accord, Gago Magaji Bulus of the African Action Congress (AAC), Hamman Abubakar Mustapha of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Bawa Ishaka Mohammed of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), and others.
