2023 Tinubu alliance failed to deliver national unity, competent govt – Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has expressed regret over his support for President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 general election. He stated that the political alliance failed to deliver the national unity, fairness, and competent government he had anticipated. Makinde made this known during a live radio interview in Ibadan on Sunday, while discussing the decision by himself and other aggrieved PDP governors to back Tinubu instead of their party's presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. He had believed that Tinubu's administration would bring together capable Nigerians from diverse regions to tackle national challenges.
