Expert suggests alternative approach to property evaluation for estate surveyors, valuers

Bankole Adeoye, an expert in real estate, has called on estate surveyors and valuers to adopt an alternative approach to property evaluation. In a paper titled 'Conventional and Hedonic Valuation in Nigerian Property Appraisal Practice: A Professional Perspective for Estate Surveyors and Valuers,' Adeoye noted that property valuation in Nigeria has traditionally relied on conventional approaches, principally the comparative method. He suggested the hedonic valuation approach as an alternative. The recommendation is aimed at improving property appraisal practices in Nigeria.
