Organised Labour in Nigeria, comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), is pressing the Federal Government over worsening living conditions. The NLC is demanding a reduction in the pump price of petrol to about N668 per litre, while the TUC seeks a revaluation of the Naira to exchange at N800 to a dollar to trigger a reduction of fuel price to about N600 per litre. The two labour centres have different approaches but share the same goal of bringing down the cost of living for Nigerian workers.
