The Education Writers’ Association of Nigeria (EWAN) will hold its seventh annual summit on Wednesday in Lagos, focusing on school safety. The summit, themed ‘Schools Under Threat: From Reactive Responses to Sustainable Protection’, will feature a keynote address by Inspector-General of Police Tunji Disu. Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, Chairman of the NUC Governing Board, will chair the event. EWAN Chairman Mojeed Alabi emphasized the need for sustained planning, funding, and early-warning mechanisms to protect schools.
