Voters in Kogi State have been urged to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election to sustain his administration’s ongoing economic and structural reforms. The call was made by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, who donated 25 vehicles to the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Kogi State to boost grassroots mobilization. A statement by the Movement in Abuja, said Tompolo, announced the donation through the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Kestin Pondi, during the official inauguration of the movement’s Kogi State structure in Lokoja on Monday. He explained that the fleet would enhance the movement’s campaign reach across the state, urging Nigerians to re-elect the president. Tompolo argued that President Tinubu had demonstrated exceptional courage by removing the petrol subsidy, granting direct allocations to local governments, and enabling states to regulate electricity within their jurisdictions. According to him, these constitutional and economic reforms have significantly increased financial allocations to state governments, boosting their ability to pay salaries, clear pensions, and execute crucial infrastructure projects. “If somebody has done so much for you, what do you do for the person? You give him more,” Pondi said. He urged movement members to take the president’s message directly into homes, workplaces, places of worship, markets, and local communities, stressing that Nigerians need to grant Tinubu another four years to consolidate his achievements. While acknowledging that the reforms brought initial hardship, Tompolo maintained that the nation would harvest lasting benefits if citizens exercised patience. Speaking at the event, Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, commended the movement for providing operational vehicles to facilitate grassroots mobilization, encouraging members to utilize them across every street, village, market, and household. However, Governor Ododo emphasized that logistical assets alone do not secure electoral outcomes, noting that structured organization and genuine voter engagement remain paramount. “Vehicles do not win elections; people win elections, conventions win elections, and organizations win elections,” the governor noted. Ododo charged the movement’s coordinators to clearly articulate the administration’s policies and flagship projects, listen attentively to citizens’ concerns, and respond with facts rather than confrontational rhetoric. He explained that President Tinubu inherited severe economic headwinds and chose to address them head-on through bold reforms, adding that national stability requires continuity. Pledging to personally lead the mobilization effort in Kogi State, Governor Ododo affirmed his full support for the PBAT Door-to-Door campaign ahead of the 2027 polls and urged members to engage communities peacefully. Earlier, the National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Mr. Sunday Asuku, called on residents, youth groups, students, and farmers to mobilize broadly for the president’s re-election. Asuku described the administration’s policy direction as essential for national development and highlighted proactive engagements with organized labor and measures preventing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) as key achievements. He urged campaign workers to look beyond formal political rallies by taking the administration’s message from door to door, city to city, and settlement to settlement across the state.
