Babadunni Gbolabo, personal assistant to late gospel singer Olayemi Bolaji, known as Toluwanisings, has recounted that the singer was rushed to between seven and eight hospitals in Ibadan after suddenly slumping. Gbolabo said some hospitals cited a doctors' strike while others failed to admit him. Toluwanisings died in the early hours of Wednesday, October 14, 2026, according to a family statement that did not disclose the cause of death. Gbolabo, who was not present when the singer slumped, spoke about the incident in Yoruba on Thursday.
