NCC phone approval USSD code: How to check if your phone is approved in Nigeria

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has provided a USSD code, *315#, for Nigerians to verify whether their mobile phones are approved for use on local networks. The service, known as the NCC Device Checker, also allows consumers to check device status via the Commission's website. This initiative is part of the NCC's Type Approval Compliance framework, which took effect on October 7, 2026, to enhance device compliance and protect consumers.
