The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation (MDPCO) have asked President Bola Tinubu to either campaign in all states or withdraw from the presidential race. The call followed Tinubu's statement during the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council on Wednesday that he would skip some campaign rallies to avoid governance suffering, though he promised to find time to speak with Nigerians. In a statement on Thursday, Richard Ihediwa, Director of Strategic Communications of the MDPCO, described Tinubu's decision as a desperate attempt to evade public resentment, alleging that his government has renewed the anger of Nigerians rather than their hope in the past three and a half years.
