In the ongoing trial of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a Bureau de Change operator testified as Prosecution Witness 19. The witness, Abdullahi, revealed that ₦1.425 billion was used to buy foreign exchange over two months. Bello is standing trial alongside Umar Shuaibu Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu on 16-count charges bordering on criminal breach of trust and money laundering involving ₦110.4 billion.
