Ministry of Health (MOH) and Partners Open Validation Workshop to Address Healthcare Quality Gender Barriers in Healthcare Access

The Ministry of Health (MOH) in collaboration with Jhpiego opened a two-day validation workshop on the National Gender Barrier Assessment Report in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Liberia. The workshop, held from October 15-16, 2026, aims to strengthen gender-responsive implementation of Liberia's National Healthcare Quality Strategy (NHQS) 2024-2028. Dr. Roxanne E. Boker, Director for Healthcare Quality Management Unit, called for constructive deliberations and emphasized using evidence from the assessment to inform the strategy's implementation. Participants will review findings and identify practical interventions to improve healthcare access.
