The Presidential Working Group has announced that it will transmit the National Policing Bill to the National Assembly within the next two weeks. Chief of Staff to the President and Chairman of the Group, Femi Gbajabiamila, stated this on Thursday after a steering committee meeting at the State House in Abuja. He said the bill is 90% ready and that one more meeting will be held to finalise it, noting that governors have made one or two observations. Gbajabiamila described the bill as the most consequential of the administration so far.
