A member of the public reported encountering sand while eating bread and contacted NAFDAC to lodge a complaint. The NAFDAC officer who received the call insisted that the complainant must bring the bread to their office in person before any action could be taken. The complainant suggested sending a picture of the bread along with the bakery's address and other details for investigation, but this was rejected and the matter was not pursued. The complainant later had a similar experience with bread from a different bakery and is now publicly appealing to authorities to ensure bakeries meet hygiene standards.
