A Saudi foreign ministry official accused Iran of encouraging the Houthis in their latest escalation and of continuing to arm and train the group in violation of UN Security Council resolutions. The official said Saudi Arabia remains in direct communication with Iran, but noted that Tehran has not yet offered necessary concessions for a solution. The Houthis have also refused to meet in Oman in recent weeks.
