Fubara emphasized that academic excellence must complement sporting ambition, stating that intelligence without character amounts to nothing. He assured the academy that the state government would address concerns over inadequate facilities, accommodation, and other operational challenges. The governor thanked local and foreign consultants who facilitated the tour, describing it as a life-changing experience for students, many of whom had never travelled beyond Port Harcourt.
