The Enugu State Government has approved N32 billion to clear gratuity arrears. An official explained that the payment is part of the commitment of the Governor Peter Mbah Administration to clear inherited gratuity liabilities before the end of his first tenure. The approval was made to address the backlog of gratuities owed to retirees in the state.
