Pope Leo XIV will be discharged from Gemelli hospital in Rome on Saturday after recovering from lung cancer surgery. Doctors deemed him "fit for discharge" following blood tests and a chest X-ray. The 71-year-old pope underwent surgery to remove part of his right lung to extract a cancerous tumor. He is expected to return to the Vatican and will recite the Angelus prayer from the papal apartment window on Sunday.
