The Ofutop nation in Central Cross River State will showcase its cultural heritage at Carnival Calabar 2026 after registering the Ekuum Cultural Band for the annual festival. Engr. Oyama Osam Ntun, CEO of the Band, told journalists that participation would project the cultural identity of the Ofutop people beyond their homeland. He said the carnival would provide a platform to display artistic talents and share generations of cultural stories. The Band completed registration with the Cross River State Carnival Commission after fulfilling necessary requirements.
