The National Chairman of the Labour Party, Senator Nenadi Usman, alongside other national leaders, declared support for the party's Lagos State gubernatorial candidate, Rotimi Odunaike, and his deputy, Lateef Adele. The endorsement was made during the official kick-off rally for the 2027 gubernatorial campaign in Lagos. Usman urged Lagos residents to look to Abia State as a practical example of what the party can achieve if given the opportunity. She stated that the party has a clear-cut ideology centred on social justice and equal opportunities.
