Delegations from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the Edo State Emergency Management Agency (Edo SEMA) visited victims of the Oluku-Benin petrol tanker explosion at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital. The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, received the delegations. The tanker had tumbled while attempting to reverse at Oluku market, and many people scooped fuel before security agencies secured the scene. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has mourned the victims.
