A nurse identified as Taiwo Godwin Ayodeji has died after allegedly suffering an asthma attack at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, Ogun State, prompting allegations of medical negligence. Ayodeji was a Post-Basic Nursing student at the School of Nursing, Aro, and was said to be a known asthma patient. An eyewitness said he developed breathing difficulties while playing football and was rushed to the hospital's emergency unit, where a friend who accompanied him said he was still able to walk in on arrival. The eyewitness alleged that although Ayodeji was placed on oxygen, the equipment was not switched on.
