Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Senator Abubakar Bagudu has said Nigeria's economic reforms are beginning to yield results despite initial concerns about their feasibility. Speaking at a news conference in Bangkok, Thailand, during the 2026 World Bank/IMF Annual Meetings, Bagudu commended President Bola Tinubu for the political will to implement the reforms. He said stronger coordination between fiscal and monetary policies would be critical to consolidating the gains and achieving the country's economic objectives, adding that closer collaboration among government institutions would strengthen efforts to meet Tinubu's 2030 targets.
