The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ogun State Joint Campus Council, has demanded an independent investigation into the death of Taiwo Godwin, a student at the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta. The council also distanced itself from a planned protest over the death, stating that organizers without its authorization do not represent its position. The hospital's management has announced its own investigation into the incident.
