The Bauchi State Government has commissioned 20 digital 4D ultrasound machines and 73 anti-shock garments worth N625 million for distribution to health facilities across the state. The equipment was procured under the World Bank-supported IMPACT project in 2025 but had suffered distribution delays due to logistics challenges, which have now been resolved. The deputy governor, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Awwal Jatau, said the intervention will boost maternal and child health and reiterated the administration's commitment to quality healthcare delivery for women and children. The 20 multifunctional 4D machines, costing N600 million, will go to the 20 General Hospitals and can perform obstetric, abdominal, pelvic, and Doppler scans.
