The UN biodiversity talks, known as CBD COP17, have commenced in Armenia. The meeting is taking place amid warnings that implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework remains insufficient. According to the report, fewer than half of national targets assessed by countries are considered to be on track.
