Barr. Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim, the National Democratic Congress governorship candidate in Bauchi State for the 2027 general elections, has resigned his membership of the party with immediate effect. Kashim announced the resignation in a letter dated October 16, 2026, addressed to the chairman of the NDC in Bauchi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. He said the decision followed careful consideration and was based on personal reasons, and expressed appreciation to the party's leadership and members for the opportunity to be associated with the NDC.
