The Institute for Dietetics in Nigeria has called on the National Assembly to withdraw the proposed nutritionists' council bill. The institute argued that the legislation does not adequately ensure that only qualified and certified professionals are permitted to practise in the nutrition and dietetics field. It warned that the bill could lead to quackery in the profession.
