Ten reciters have emerged from the Edo State Qur'anic Recitation Competition to represent the state at the 2026 National Competition scheduled to hold in Jigawa State in December. The State Musabaqah Coordinator, Hamza Umar Usman, said about 1,000 students participated at the local government and senatorial district levels. The selected reciters will be camped for one month to further groom them in memorising and reciting the Holy Qur'an fluently.
