France imposed a partial curfew and banned demonstrations in parts of Paris on Monday, according to police. The Paris police prefecture said the curfew would be in effect from 11:00 pm on Monday until 6:00 am on Tuesday in several neighbourhoods. Demonstrations were also banned in several Paris neighbourhoods from 8:00 pm on Monday until 6:00 am on Tuesday as the government sought to restore order after some of the worst street violence in years.
