President Bola Tinubu has extended the tenures of the heads of the Nigerian Correctional Service and the Nigeria Immigration Service by 18 months. The presidency said the extensions followed a recommendation by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, to address a succession gap in the two services. The extension is also intended to give the respective boards sufficient time to appoint successors.
