The Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles has stated that CNG refuelling stations in Kano State have increased to 12 from virtually none about a year ago. The agency said the commissioning of two NU Synergy CNG Refuelling Stations and a Conversion Centre is intended to create affordable transportation energy following the activation of the Northern Corridor. Speaking at the commissioning, the initiative's Executive Chairman, Barr. Ismaeel Ahmed, described the development as evidence of what can be achieved when private-sector investors respond to emerging opportunities in Nigeria's clean mobility sector. He said the future of transportation must increasingly be driven by more affordable energy alternatives.
