Governor Uba Sani unveiled the 2026 Peugeot 5008 at the Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria factory in Kaduna, using the event to push for government patronage of locally made vehicles. He pledged to make a strong presentation to the National Economic Council on the need for federal and state ministries, departments and agencies to patronise D-PAN vehicles. The governor argued that public procurement can help sustain local manufacturing, create jobs and drive economic growth.
