The Rivers State House of Assembly has rescinded its decision to declare the seats of three pro-Governor Siminalayi Fubara lawmakers vacant. The decision was taken at the 68th Legislative Sitting of the Fourth Session of the Tenth Assembly. The lawmakers had appealed and apologised for failing to resume duties after their suspension was lifted in December 2023. The development signals renewed reconciliation efforts between the governor and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
