Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has declined a request by Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), to summon the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Tosin Ajayi, to personally appear in court as a witness in Sowore's trial on alleged cyberbullying of President Bola Tinubu. The court had previously fixed October 19 to decide whether the DSS DG must appear in response to a subpoena sought by Sowore's lawyer, Adeyinka Olumide Fusika SAN. The DSS lawyer, Mr Akinlolu Kehinde SAN, opposed the move, arguing that another official of the agency could testify on the DG's behalf.
