The Transparency and Accountability Network (TAN) has called on the ICPC and EFCC to investigate Senator Olamilekan Adeola, who represents Ogun West, over allegations of appropriation and project scandals. In a statement signed by its President, Dr. Oluwole Oladapo, the group said the senator should clear his name before contesting any elective position in 2027 or thereafter. TAN stated that Nigeria is not a banana republic that can be run as a private commercial enterprise. The organisation linked the allegations to economic hardship experienced by Nigerians, including after the removal of fuel subsidy.
