United States Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Michael Gonzales has commended the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for its operational successes, including busts of Mexican meth labs. Gonzales made the remark on Tuesday during a visit to the NDLEA national headquarters in Abuja, where he was received by Chairman/CEO Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) and management. He said he chose Nigeria as his first country to visit after his appointment because of its status as a leader and economic powerhouse in Africa and because of the NDLEA's leadership and impressive wins. Marwa sought continued US support for the agency.
