The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) said it will continue to exercise regulatory authority over medicines and vaccines supplied to Nigeria under the US-Nigeria medical deal. The agency stated that the deal does not exempt drugs and vaccines from safety checks. NAFDAC affirmed its oversight role over such supplies.
