Court declines bail to Abba Kyari

A Federal High Court in Abuja has declined granting bail to suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Abba Kyari, and two other senior police officers facing trial for drug-related charges. Justice Emeka Nwite, in a ruling on Wednesday, said the defendants did not bring any evidence to court to warrant the court’s discretion. Nwite held that the court must exercise its discretion judiciously and in this case, it cannot grant bail to the defendants.
